Engage for Change

QBE - engaging the business to drive the brand and bottom line

Venue: The Groucho Club, 45 Dean Street, Soho, London W1

When: Wednesday 21st April 2010

The 15th Engage for Change networking &learning breakfast showcases QBE’s brand programme "QBE - who?" to "QBE - wow!"

We are delighted to have from QBE, the specialist business insurer, Helena Christopher, Head of Corporate Communications and Sam Children, Internal Communications Manager, presenting at the breakfast. Mo Kang, Chief Human Resources Officer will also offer insight.

Helena and Sam will cover the whole programme including:

  • Engaging the board to develop the brand and articulate the business strategy, with surprising effects - where we started, the interviews and feedback, then what we got to do with QBE’s ambitions and objectives
  • The brand light bulb (the defining moment which got this programme going and where the board saw the link between strategy and brand and culture)
  • Helping employees to understand their role in delivering the strategy and brand and giving them a sense of self by answering the really simple questions – The Big Difference
  • From idea to implementation in less than 6 months, with a board that wanted to go faster - programme development and execution
  • The ideas that changed our world
  • Why we love rugby (our next step - externalising the brand)
  • Our plans for sustaining the process.
